American Fabric Filter supplies Guardian Precoat™, a dry, inert powder specifically designed to enhance filter bag performance and extend the life of your baghouse system. Derived from carefully processed natural volcanic rock, Guardian Precoat™ creates a three-dimensional, porous layer on the surface of new filter bags. This protective coating helps improve airflow, capture finer particles, and shield filter media from moisture, oils, and hydrocarbons, reducing the risk of blinding and plugging.
For optimal results, apply one pound of Guardian Precoat™ for every 20 square feet of filter area, forming a consistent 1/16″ coating. This equates to one 30-pound bag treating approximately 600 square feet of filter cloth. The product can be applied either prior to the first use of new bags or continuously during operation for ongoing protection and efficiency.
